Buckets by the Loaf: Now Simpler!

Four years ago, we launched an experiment offering Buckets licenses worldwide at a cost of about 20 loaves of bread in the country where you live. From the small initial group of countries, it’s grown to be available in over 70 countries. Buckets is now all over the world! And starting today, the process for buying a “by the loaf” license is much simpler.

Here’s a quick update on the latest with Buckets. It’s been a busy summer and I’m excited to get back to working on fixing bugs, adding features and getting the mobile apps closer to complete.

We’re really excited to announce that Buckets v0.76.0 is now in Beta and includes support for payees and a much improved transaction page. Download the latest beta here, or wait for the stable version to be released in the future.

Why Buckets?

Buckets is a good budgeting app, but it’s not the only app. There are probably hundreds of apps for managing your money. I don’t like to pick on other apps, because honestly, if it works for you that’s great! I’m happy when people are financially successful. However, Buckets is unique in a few ways that I’d like to highlight. And most of these have very little to do with budgeting.
